I get hints of you in shadows

My brother Justin filmed this on our recent trip from Las Vegas to Yosemite National Park. We had to leave Yosemite early because of a snowstorm coming through, luckily we had enough time to get this done!
We synced the vocals by either having an iPod touch in my pocket or by blasting the song from our Ford Escape rental.

The picture is a real photo of my grandfather holding me as a baby. I wrote this song after having recurring dreams of him being there in the scene of my dream but not saying anything, he seemed fragmented… or present but passive. I think these dreams helped settle my grief.

Please leave us comments if you would.

Stay Stay Stay

This is a new song/video by me, Aron. The painting in the background is by Nick Stolle. This song began as sort of an exercise in focusing on timing, phrasing, bending and vibrato to make something emotive. Originally I was just singing stay, stay, stay in different ways every time, over and over. I’m sure my neighbors had to check themselves into a mental hospital because of it. Eventually, as songs tend to do, it evolved into a more proper song. I intentionally kept the lyrics simple trying to express things I have felt before through the music, in other words, I wanted the music to speak where the lyrics could not.
I hope you like it. You are welcome to download the song for free from the Artists>Aron Wright page.
